The Government on Wednesday banned ‘Sikhs for justice', a separatist organisation being operated from the Canada, US and Britain.

Home ministry officials said the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, decided to declare SFJ proscribed under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.  The SFJ has been banned for a period of five years under section 3(1) of the 1967 law.
