SW Monsoon expected to reach Kerala on June 4: Skymet By Indian Times Daily

Skymet on Tuesday forecast that the Southwest monsoon would be delayed by three days and is likely to reach Kerala on June 4, Tuesday. Jatin Singh, MD of the private weather forecasting agency, said, ' Monsoon 2019 is likely to make onset over Kerala on June 4, with an error margin of +/- 2 days.' This year's monsoon, he said, is estimated to be weak and the situation is not looking very good.

'All the four regions are going to witness lesser than normal rainfall, this season. East and Northeast India and central parts will see more deficit than Northwest India and South Peninsula. Onset of Monsoon will be around June 4. It seems that initial advancement of Monsoon over Peninsular India is going to be slow,' he said.
