AAP accuses Badals of playing panthic card for petty personal By Indian Times Daily

(UNI)Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief spokesperson and Talwandi Sabo MLA Prof Baljinder Kaur has accused the Badal family of playing the ‘panthic’ card for their petty personal and political ends.

In a statement here here, Prof Baljinder Kaur said that the Badals had been using the ‘Panth’ for their petty personal and political ends, saying that the people of the state must keep a watchful eye on their ‘move’ to using the ‘panthic’ card. She said that colossal damage the Badal clan and its acolytes had done to Punjab and the ‘Panthic’ organizations was an open secret now.

Prof Kaur said that post the incidents of desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and the Behbal Kalan firing incidents and their (the Badals) names figuring in the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report, the sensational revelation made in the case by Giani Iqbal Singh had proved that they could go to any extent to grab power in the state.

The AAP leader said the Badals, during their ten-year long regime and the powerful ‘mafia raj’ had caused a Himalayan damage to the state, economically, socially and religiously, saying that they rendered the state cash-strapped. They tried to divide the people of the state on the basis of caste, colour and credo using the ‘panthic’ card with intent to garner votes.
