The SIT on Monday raided the house of Dera Sacha Sauda follower Shakti Singh at Daggo Romana village and allegedly recovered some torn pages of Guru Granth Sahib.

Shakti Singh had been detained, said sources, adding that SIT also recovered a car and a bike which were allegedly used in the sacrilege incidents at Burj Jawahar Singh Wala and Bargari villages of Faridkot. It is alleged that Randeep Singh Neela of Faridkot had played a key role in the theft of ‘bir’ from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala on June 1, 2015, and Shakti Singh was an accomplice in the crime. Basant Singh, father of Shakti Singh, denied recovery of ‘bir’ pages from his house.
